Reviews Chris Duel, WOAI Radio (San Antontio) HENRY IGLESIAS and THE NOW with the debut album "3 Billion Seconds" I think I've heard the music for the New Millennium, it's from Henry Iglesias and THE NOW…On the CD, " 3 Billion Seconds",Iglesias and his band have created an innovative synthesis of musical genres which results in a truly unique, upbeat, captivating, and inspiring sound. It is a combination of Sophisticated Rock with Rhythm & Blues, Soulful Ballads and Dance beats with Latin Variations blended into an engaging and spirited mix. The album makes you listen and also makes you want to dance. Iglesias exuded a likabililty, a realness and a truthfulness in his arresting lyrics that shines through in virtually every song. The merging of these powerful lyrics with such eclectic rhythms creates a visceral listening experience unlike any I have heard in quite some time. The brilliant guitar riffs by James Lum are reminiscent of Hendrix and Clapton. This CD moved me in addition to making me move. The musical and lyrical mastery of Iglesias makes the listener want to sing along, and sometimes cry along with these rich melodic tales of the human quest for evolution and love at the turn of the century.
